Peter Ochodnicky holds a Master (MSc) and PharmD degree from the Comenius University, Bratislava. His keen interest in the drug’s working mechanisms prompted him to follow the post-gradual research program at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, University Medical Center Groningen studying novel drug targets in cardiovascular and renal disease.
After obtaining his PhD he worked as an experimental receptor pharmacologist at Academic Medical Center Amsterdam and as regulatory affairs documentation assessor for State Institute for Drug Control. He published multiple scientific papers, successfully applied for research funding, initiated several scientific collaborations and developed and taught master course in General Pharmacology. Recognizing the necessity for closer collaborations between academic research and biotechnology industry, he became interested in commercial aspects of innovative drug development. At Catalyze, he uses his strong scientific background, writing and presentation skills to help to secure funding of innovative academic and industry initiatives.
